"My room was on the top floor and I had a number of heavy suitcases, so carrying them up was quite exhausting after a long flight and ride from Schiphol. "We stayed in the island lodge. The lodge itself is very nice, only downpoint of the actual lodge is lack of storage space in the kitchen. My biggest complaints about this place were 1. When making the booking it NEVER mentioned that the only way to access your lodge is via a small rowing boat. I kid you not. I was with a family of 5, and none of us had ever rowed a boat a day in our lives. Had i known this upfront i would never have booked this lodge. THIS ROOM IS NOT SUITABLE FOR ANYONE WITH...

"The modern, clean accommodation is on a dairy farm, so we had the opportunity to watch the cows being milked and cheese being made. As a bonus we loved the organic cheese we were given to eat. Our apartment was quite new and had a well stocked kitchen with access to laundry facilities. The farm is located about 1-2 miles from Oudewater, a historic town with several good restaurants."
