"Great location but gets really loud on the weekends in the plaza it faces - tourists/students partying in the streets till 4am so make sure you take a pair of the free earplugs they hand out. Close to the canals the tower and a 10 minute walk to the station - everything you need. Front desk staff really nice and welcoming. The connecting 5th restaurant is a decent (if overpriced) spot. "

The History of the place, and all the amenities. The room was spectacular looking over the park and canal. So peaceful. Yet it was so close to everything. This was the crown jewel in our visit to Netherlands. We fell in love with Utrecht. I will recommend Karel-V as top place to stay. The staff were so helpful getting us to the hotel when we got lost.
