Very good, but a little more attention to detail.
Our room was mainly clean, although we found a credit card and pill box under the bed from a previous guest. The tiles and back of the bathroom door did not appear to have been cleaned properly, looking as if a drink had been spilled on them. The beds were clean and comfortable. All of the reception and breakfast staff were very pleasant and helpful. We would recommend this hotel.

Lovely hotel in a quiet area of Utrecht
My partner and I enjoyed our stay very much. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The room was on an upper floor with a nice view of the quiet and beautiful area outside the hotel. The room was quite clean, in very good condition despite some small marks of age. The staff helped us to navigate the center city of Utrecht by presenting a map at check-in, and highlighting the best walking routes to the city center. They were also very helpful in providing rental of bikes in good condition, which were ideal for traveling in this wonderful city! WiFi access was easy and more than sufficient for usual online tasks at all times. We highly recommend Malie Hotel to all who travel to Utrecht.

Work overnighter in Utrecht
Fantastic staff, location, room and hotel overall, would 100% recommend! I was given a suite as a free upgrade, which was lovely and I had my own terrace too. All the members of staff were super nice, especially Anouck, with whom we chatted until the late hours at the hotel bar. I didn’t have breakfast myself, but my colleague did and said it was excellent. A nice walk down to the main canal area with all the waterside restaurants, this a place I’ll stay again when next in Utrecht.

The room was very confortable and nice. I didn't like the pillows, they were too big. The area, although it is not in the center, it is at a walkable distance and very close to the bus station.

Disappointing room
We chose this hotel as it was described as close to the city centre. It was not as close as expected and about 20 minute walk. The hotel was quite well presented and well equipped but we were disappointed with the room. We had booked a ‘superior’ room but found that this category did not exist. We had an upper storey room that was very constrained with reduced height owing to being in the roof. It was not possible to stand in front of the toilet without stooping. On top of this the hotel rate was fairly high and we expected better.
