Exceptionally friendly staff, dated but clean building and room, wonderful meals and hot springs. Highly recommended. Will come back.

The ryokan was clean n the facilities are good. They provide good sound system n the music they played were good. Owner must be a music lover. There were a huge collection of LPs in the lounge. Will stay here again.

It locates in a remote town, took 10 min. taxi ride from JR station. The place though small and established for decades, the staff were excellent and helpful. Tasty meals.

Charming historical gem
Posted 28 Feb 2023 on HotelsCharming ryokan dating back to 1816 with very attentive service. Rooms a little dated but that is part of the charm taking one back to days gone by. Pity there isn’t an outdoor public bath as it’s nice in colder weather to relax in a hot bath listening to the flow of the stream as the ryokan is right by the stream.
