A nice place to relax

It was a nice hotel with a lovely pool and excellent swimming spots around the sea. We did have some discomfort as the aircon in the room wasn't cooling and the room was quite dated, but overall our goal was to relax and we certainly were able to. There were nice restaurants within walking distance (the buffet was a bit average so we only had dinner at the hotel once) and it was easy to get in and out with parking. The staff were helpful and the spaces nice and clean.

Very good standard, great food and lovely staff. Just wished the opening hours of the gym and sauna was longer.

Definitely a huge disappointment. This is not a 5* property at all - rooms are in need of serious renovation, our bathroom was broken, lights in the room were broken as well. When we used the sockets next to the bed, it sounded like something was short-circuiting with the loud ticking noise. It was so loud that we couldn’t sleep. When we called reception to raise the concern, they said “we’re full, we don’t have ear plugs for you and we won’t send anyone to check”. So they basically ignored our complaint and never followed up with it. Food in the buffet was bland and quite bad, dinners were extremely disappointing. Luckily, we only stayed two nights in this terrible hotel

Not 5* hotel, but 3*

This is not a 5* hotel. The food was so average...when we ordered coffe in a hotel lobby they don't know to serve water with it....really 3* hotel.

Great for a few “down-days” of traveling.

The buffet breakfast & buffet dinner package was perfect. The nearby Tennis academy may be if interest. And the paved area just before the water area was unimpressive.

A really nice stay

The room was nice (no kettle facilities though, so spent £3 every time we wanted a cup of tea). The staff are lovely. It's so close to the sea. Sea/sunlounger area is good. We always managed to find a bed no matter what time of day we went. The food options were a large buffet selection (we were half board, so breakfast and dinner), a bar, a beach bar and a restaurant. A lot of options. Hardly any english-speaking guests, which was nice!

We stayed for 5 nights in the Melia Coral, Umag. The staff from the moment we arrived could not have been nicer or more helpful. The Hotel itself is beautiful with lovely designed interior and extremely clean room. The check in and out procedures are so efficient. Food was delicious but restaurant ‘s supervisor and all staff deserve special thanks. Overall a great place- we would definitely stay again.

The staff from the moment we arrived could not have been nicer or more helpful. The Hotel itself is beautiful with lovely large rooms everything you would expect from a 5 star hotel. The restaurant supervisor and staff deserve a special thanks!
