Did send an email to expedia, saying we did not stay, because of unhygenic rooms and facilities not working.

Basic accommodation that was fine for a night. Pillows needed changing and they need pillow protectors. Otherwise was clean and adequate. Nothing flash but perfect location for Park and they organise all of the tours for you via email.

Le Green is a base for safaris into the nearby national park. It is small, personal and organises good animal viewing excursions.

The lady at reception and her right hand man provide the ultimate in customer service. Their motto has to be "everything is possible". How refreshing!

Nice staff

The people were so nice. The issue here is that there are a lot of ants-in the room, in the bed, on the table in dining room.

Great place to stay for safari

Posted 17 Jun 2018 on Hotels
Great place to stay near Udawalawe Park! The family who runs it are really nice people. Very friendly and helpful. They just opened for the season and are still doing some renovations. The room was clean and comfy. The hotel has a safari truck. Very reasonable price to go on safari with them - much cheaper than the private companies you'll find online. Truck costs 3500 rupees and their driver is a good driver and a pretty good spotter. At the park it costs 7200 rupees for tickets for two foreigners. You can get a park-authorized guide for free when you buy your tickets (tip only at the end). So for two people the whole cost (before tips) was 10500 rupees. That's 2/3 of what some safari companies are charging per person. The pool was also nice. Hotel is a fair distance from town but it can be walked (about 6km). But that means it is nice and quiet at night. The park is right across the road. Park entrance is a jew minutes away by safari truck. Easy to get a ride to town and back with a tuk-tuk. Food at the hotel is yummy. Good prices, too. Breakfast is very nice. They can do a late breakfast for you when you get back from a morning safari drive.

Perfect safari stop over.

Posted 22 May 2018 on Hotels
This property is minutes away from the wildlife park. They offer their own safari guides or you can book your own. The pool was immaculate and so refreshing. The staff was superb with nothing but smiles and graciousness. They did all of my laundry and had it back to me the next day.

Stay here

Posted 3 Mar 2018 on Hotels
This place was the find of our trip. Definitely our favourite. Very simple but the hosts seemed so nice and genuine family feel. Pool was ideal for lounging. Dinner was fantastic. Be prepared to order a few hours ahead of service at 7.30pm but we really enjoyed it. Reception were happy to organise our safari in the morning. 10500LKR for 2 people all in which was definitely less expensive than other places I'd seen quoted. Picked up at 5.45 and back by 9.30 having seen all the wildlife needed and breakfast arranged for our return. Excellent. They were more than happy for us to use the pool/loungers after checking out until our taxi arrived in the afternoon. Would have no hesitation in recommending to anybody.

Hyggeligt

Stedet var hyggeligt til et par dage købte en safari tur dette skulle vi dog ikke havde gjort kostede 25000 rupees og så kun få fugle til gengæld kan man gratis køre ud af vejen og se elefanter endda med stødtænder

Friendly but with some setbacks

Posted 6 Dec 2021 on Hotels
Not the best stay. The first impression of the hotel was nice. However the cleanliness was not the best in the rooms and when the rain started to pouring down we had to change room as the roof in our room was leaking. After the change we had an ok stay. The staff was however very friendly and the location great as it was close to the safari.
