A wonderful place. I loved it. Yousef is one of a kind. I highly recommend, especially if you value such an architecture.

I stayed in a large and elegant room with beautiful architectural details. Nice breakfast and overall a very special place with a pleasant courtyard.

Dar Ya is conveniently located in Tunis’ medina with friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms and common areas, nice rooftop terrace, and great breakfast (both sweet and savoury options available). One downside was that the wifi was only available in the common courtyard, but not too big of a deal as there’s plenty of seating there.

This property is a real gem. Easy walk down to the Medina but very quiet and out of the way. A bit tricky to find but the amazing staff met me out on the street and showed me in. All staff members were exceptionally friendly and helpful and the breakfast was wonderful. I loved this property!

Beautiful and friendly hostel
Posted 6 Mar 2024 on HotelsLovely hostel, great friendly staff who always greeted us with a smile, really nice breakfast. Really good location in the Medina, near all the sites but also quiet, and absolutely beautiful looking hostel with all the tiles. Rooftop terrace was a great bonus with lovely views of the city. 10/10.

Great value and friendly staff
Posted 2 Mar 2024 on HotelsThe three staff I met at the hostel were incredibly friendly and helpful. They were always available and willing to provide information about places to eat and how to get around. I had a single room and it was beautifully decorated and very warm (perfect since it was cold outside). The breakfast was much bigger than I would expect at a hostel and was an incredible deal. Located in the heart of the Medina, Dar Ya Hostel was a great place to stay.
