Stay was interesting and the staff was great. The room for the price was a little lackluster. Otherwise not a terrible option

HORRID - a Dump

Posted 24 Dec 2020 on Hotels
The place is a total dump- in 30 years of travel I have never experienced any place so Totally misrepresented on Hotells.com. The 6 rooms are cement . Immediately out the glass door of the room is a bar and nightly concerts in the hotel. The pool pictures on booking are far from accurate for the tiny fish P.O. d

The location is very convenient since it is located in the middle of the village. The room was cute but small...we paid $70 per nigh and it was $50 on Expedia and I found it a little overpriced.. On Expédia, they say it is a boutique hotel, it is very far away from that... Small pool, no breakfast...

Such a Cool Gem!

Posted 6 Jan 2018
We had a different and specific experience at Boheme. The details not to be important for the review I'll spare them but the bottom line our group of four (two couples) had our accommodations in Akumel (30 mins north) on NYE 2017 and we tried desperately to find one room in Tulum where we could have a home base rather than schlep to and from Akumel between relaxing at the beach and subsequent party at night. We found Boheme vacant for reasons I did not care to ask. Greeted my proprietor or "Mother and the Father" Mandeep (so sorry for the butchering) he commenced with his calm, cool and laizzes faire demeanor as we explained our plight. "It's cool guys, don't worry about a thing and just focus on enjoying yourselves". The place is a gem. Super cool style and bohemian feel. Each of his six rooms are beautifully decorated and unique. His team was quick to nurture us and serve us booze and whatever else was asked. The entire property was comfortable and cool. Well done and thank you for your welcome
