This hotel is a scam. We arrived and it was dark and closed. The telephone advertised was unavailable and the address was very hard to locate. A few days later after having to find a hotel at almost midnight, we checked it again and the owners were there, they had also been scammed by people who had rented this property and used it as a fake hotel. It didn't even have electricity as these scammers had not paid the bills. Interesting also the dates on this reservation are wrong. I have proof.

First of all I am very sorry you had to deal with this situation. I am the owner of Barbarella and the person who rented the property from the real scammers who I guess are the people you spoke with. The owner of the property is the one who did not pay the the electric for over 3 years The building does not even have an electric meter , it was ripped out out by the previous owner and the current landlord thought it was funny since they never turned off the electric and he did not have to pay. He made me aware of the situation after I signed the lease agreement and spent my life savings renovating the whole building . Well, fast forward to may , the issue was never fixed and the electric was turned off. By Mexican law I was not even able to address this situation since the electric needs to be under to the property owners name. About your reservation , I stopped takin bookings by the beginning of may and canceled all remaining ones when the electric was actually turned off may 24 so I have no idea how you even made a reservation. Again I am sorry for all this

We arrived and were told the hotel was not in service, so had to find somewhere else to stay.

Awesome new spot! The rooftop bar had a great vibe, delicious cocktails and snack, and sunset view! Clean and nice rooms with attentive details (like make up removal cotton pads… in Mexico Ha!) definitely recommend staying here, had a blast, staff was very nice!
