I understand some things may be out of the control of the property manager, such as updates and new pillows, utensils, carpet, filters, policies, etc.. so I will review the controllables. The lobby, halls, and elevators were kept very clean. Provided breakfast had your standard options which were fine, excluding the empty coffee both times I tried to get some. Breakfast is 3hrs long so that’s a plus! The room we booked was not available so we were upgraded before arriving, which was kind of the team. However, the filters on the A/C unit were very dirty and even set to 67, the room would barely cool down. The dishes in the upgraded room were dirty with crusted food from a previous guest, ice trays still filled in the freezer, and ice bucket filled with water still. The door to the room would fling open and bang the wall super loud, I know the neighbors heard it. I’m genuinely surprised it didn’t damage the wall, most doors have a soft open/close mechanism. Our room key would not unlock the side door of the hotel even though there was a place to scan a key. Our room keys were also shut off more than 30 minutes prior to checkout, making the multiple trips to load the car difficult. $30/night for a pet fee would be fine had we received daily housekeeping…but we didn’t. Ice machine on 3rd floor was completely out of ice the whole time. The staff was efficient, which I appreciate. You get what you pay for. Would not choose to stay again but it was okay for a last minute booking.
