"Our stay was satisfactory overall. Initially a problem with payment as the lady couldn’t confirm I already paid so charged me again. I was refunded in the morning and a very gracious apology. Staff were brilliant, food was excellent. Bed was really comfortable but the room was really hot, no air con or fan to help. The pool and sauna/steam room was great. "

"The Shamrock lodge was a beautiful place to stay. Our room was clean and equipped with all that we needed, and the customer service was incredible. The lodge is also a short walk from the city center, so we were able to easily enjoy all that Athlone had to offer! The spay next door to the lodge was a lovely experience as well, the ladies gave us the best massages and were an absolute joy! "

"Beautiful hotel, good food, good gym, pool and amenities, plenty of free parking and close to town. Only let down was that service was sometimes poor and the rooms were dusty in places I.e. shelves, drawers and under furnishings. "
