The design of this winery, with its glassy pavilion and clock tower at the center of a dark red façade, is a fitting complement to its acclaimed wines.

Tsillan Cellars is a winery set in the gorgeous backdrop of Lake Chelan and its surrounding Cascade Mountains. The winery has an elegant restaurant with menus for lunch and dinner and a tasting room where you can try the award-winning grape varieties grown in its picturesque vineyard. Enjoy an upscale meal, with a majestic sunset as a backdrop by the lake.

Chat with the docents about the estate’s grapes, which are all grown in its vineyard. Test the range of wines, including barbera and viognier. The elegant tasting room has been crafted using materials and décor from Tuscany. Note the use of Italian marble and tiles, embellished with stylish murals. Taste some of the estate’s best products, including bocciolo di rosa, bellissima rossa red wine and pinot grigio white wine.

On a warm, sunny day, explore the leafy gardens and step out onto the terrazzos for the best views of the water and the pleasant green slopes covered with grape vines. Relax with a glass of wine amid the Tuscan columns of the glass pavilion, next to the gazebo that is set up for ceremonies.

Try the food in Sorrento’s Ristorante. The dishes are prepared to have complementary wine pairings.

The spectacular winery is a popular spot for weddings and other events. It stretches across 135 acres (55 hectares) of scenic land, of which vineyards cover 40 acres (16 hectares).

Tsillan Cellars is on the eastern edge of Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest, in the western part of the state of Washington. From the center of Seattle, drive east for about 170 miles (270 kilometers) to arrive here in roughly 3 hours.
