The quality and comfort food etc was excellent but my disappointment at check-in was paying a 3,5 % surcharge because I was paying by a cash card ( not even Amex or Diners) especially when Hotels .com guarantees the amount you pay at the time of booking This surcharge should be on the booking details.
I have booked Hotels in Italy where they state payment in cash only no cards

Orchard Manor very good; hotels.com disappointing
Posted 19 Aug 2016 on HotelsWe were pleased with our room, king sized bed and facilities. Our host was very good and it was easy to travel from Probus to places we wanted to see further afield. I was upset that the hotels.com people gave me the run-around regarding an unexpected and unwarranted credit card charge but this was not the fault of Orchard Manor but of hotels.com

Posted 29 Jul 2016 on HotelsNigel was great as a host and made you feel very welcome. Would strongly recommend to anyone staying in this part of Cornwall. Probus is an ideal mid-way point for travellers to this part from visiting places like Eden Project in St. Austell through to the local beaches and onwards to Lands End.

Erst enttäuscht, dann ganz zufrieden
Posted 21 Jun 2011 on HotelsB&B in Cornwall, wer denkt da nicht an ein eher altmodisches und gemütliches Haus. Was uns erwatet hat war aber ein ziemlich neues Haus ohne besonderen Flair. Aber der Wirt war sehr nett, das große Zimmer war sehr komfortabel und die Lage, wenn auch an der Dorfstrasse gelegen, hat sich als günstig erwiesen, da wir von dort viele Atraktionen von Cornwall bequem mit dem Auto erreichen kopnnten. Das Haus ist also durchaus zu empfehlen.
