Tiny square pillows in room, uncomfortable bed, Pancake machine not functional at breakfast, jacuzzi jets broken and paint chipping visible on exterior of building. Better upkeep required.

Reviews I read were very good so I wonder if this place has changed hands? Very few guests were staying on a Saturday night in September? Yet Truckee seemed busy? Property seemed to lack basic upkeep/amenities (e.g. shower curtain didn’t stay completely closed because rod is uneven so water gets on the tile floor; exhaust fan in bathroom noisy and didn’t work so bathroom becomes a sauna when showering; no lotion in room; skimpy on towels; spa tub outside didn’t have upper jets working or bubbles—but water was hot). Breakfast? Instant eggs, bacon, bagels, muffins, cereal, pancake maker, apples, etc). Oatmeal packets with only cold water in thermos—had to hunt for hot water.. Located right off major highway so one side with pool/spa is noisy. Cappuccino maker was nice. Property seemed clean. Front desk staff were very nice and professional. Truckee is spectacular — will return but will try a different lodging.

Loved the staff and the location. We got the last room available I believe and managed to squeeze in the free breakfast which was lovely.
