The staff was friendly. The bathroom floor sticky, wallpaper nasty, like someone threw up on it! Ceiling was wet all over, wallpaper in hallway was hanging off. Plug by bed is a fire hazard b/c it’s too loose to hold a plug.

The room was clean enough and the staff was nice, but there were issues. We evacuated from Hurricane Helene and stayed 2 nights, during the stay the Bistro was completely closed in the hotel "because of the storm," the whole stay, Wednesday - Friday. So, that perk I paid for was not available and I was still charged a .44 cent daily "Restaurant Tax." Breakfast was a paper bag with a prepackaged muffin, rotten orange and bottle of water. We stayed on the 2nd floor and the floor above us creaked with every footstep of the guest above us, it was so loud and uncomfortable. The 1st floor appeared to have had some type of water leak/damage that was being repaired and mitigated, the wall paper was ripped up along the bottom of the walls and rooms were being aired out and cleaned by a service company. It was a place to lay our heads, but not worth the $566 I paid and will not stay again.

Reserved a king studio suite. Got there and was given a standard 2 queen bed room. When I asked about it they said I had reserved an executive king and this was actually larger and that they lowered the rate because it wasn't a king. Not what I asked or reserved. When I asked about getting a king room they said it was all they had and that 30 of their rooms were flooded. When they went in and checked they had not reduced my rate, not sure if they ever actually did. When half your hotel is flooded and the other areas look like they've already been flooded, wallpaper peeled off and holes in the ceiling, how about not being the most expensive hotel in the city. Definitely not worth the price. A $70 room would have been just as nice and I probably would have gotten breakfast too

The place was in a good location - very close to campus, which was a huge plus! The hotel itself was not up to the typical Courtyard standards. There were various stages of construction throughout, with peeling paint on the wall and dirty walls and baseboards. There was not breakfast available. The fitness center was good, except the AC wasn’t working and there were no fans. Overall, it was just okay - I guess I expected more because it was a Courtyard and I have never stayed in one that wasn’t very nice.

Not a word
Posted 11 Aug 2024 on HotelsThe check in clerk did not say one single word to me. When I arrived, he just looked at me until i told him my name. He then did not say a word during the transaction and handed me the card key, again without saying anything. The check out clerk was nicer and spoke to me. This is unusual, as i usually experience good customer service at this particular hotel and location.

It appears to be undergoing renovations so that is a temporary negative. The location is ideal.

The room was very clean, but the window was a mess. Could hardly see through it because of green mildew. The soap dispensers could have used some labels. Beds were very comfortable.

We arrived at the hotel late in the evening. We were told that the systems were down and we were unable to check in until approximately 30-40 minutes after we arrived. We finally got into our rooms at 10:30pm after many hours of driving.
We were unable to shower the next morning due to the water being brown. The water stained the bottom of the tub. Also, we were unable to brush our teeth with the tap water because of the dirty water. When we arrived, there was noticeable water damage in the lobby and on our floor of the hotel. There was exposed pipes and wallpaper that had been ripped off to be replaced at some point. All the front desk offered was complimentary water bottles to wash our face and brush our teeth. We were not given any money back for this huge inconvenience, considering we had a special event to attend the morning that we checked out of the hotel. We have pictures and videos of the water conditions in the shower/tub. We were very dissatisfied with our stay.
