"The hotel was nicely decorated and clean. However, given the price it lacked amenities you would normally expect such as tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Staff were welcoming and helpful. Although out of town, the bus is regular from across the street and there are a fee shops and takeaways next door. The airport shuttle didnt turn up for me or my friend who were departing at different time so I would recommend the five minute walk to the bus station where buses to the airport...

"The staff here was very helpful and friendly every time I came by with a question. The location in Tromsø is unbeatable. You can walk anywhere in the city center within 10 minutes or less. The room itself is a little worn and plain for the price you are paying, but everything else about the hotel made up for it. The lobby area is a nice place to sit and relax at and the breakfast was delicious. Overall, I loved my stay here."

"The property was clean and spacious. The room (Superior Room) wasn’t huge but was a good size and it had a great view into the harbour. The location was great as it was secluded enough, but within walking distance to the rest of the city. Check-in was very easy, although there is a charge if you want to check-in before 2pm (only about £15). "Our stay at Yggdrasil was amazing! It's truly a unique place. The dinners are out of this world, chef quality local cuisine served in a spectacular setting. If you are looking for a relaxing get away you will have a hard time topping this place! My only watchout for first timers to Tromso is that it is a pretty good distance from the city centre and airport. 45 minute drive. "I loved the hotel overall and its location in Tromso. Unfortunately, there was no electrical outlet near the bed for my Cpap machine and I had to run a cord all across the room to use it. A trip hazard and not comfortable. "

"I came on a solo trip to take part in the PolarNight Half Marathon, so my single room served the purpose. Perhaps consider putting a cupboard in the bathroom area where there is space for it. Apart from that, the staff are very friendly, it was clean, and the breakfast was very good."

"Small, but good and comfortable hotel, only a few steps from the city center. The room was small but it had everything for 3 nights stay. There was no wardrobe in the room so it could be a but problematic for someone staying longer time because I had to put my clothes on the chair or a small table, there were no hangers. One small annoying thing was the fan in the bathroom which could not be turned off and was on all day and night long."

"Great place to stay! The online check in process, app to use the key, room and facilities were all great! The hotel is walking distance from the main part of town, walking distance from the bus stop, and a grocery store is right next door. Would highly recommend for a low frills, easy and safe place to stay while exploring Tromso. "
