Reception(Maher Klaibi) ruin our staying

Worst experience ever ruined by their receptionist Mr Maher Klaibi. I was with my friend, and I spoke with him in arabic he didn't welcome us in a proper way. I made the reservation 1h before heading there, and he tried his best to do not give to us a room beside the booking was confirmed and paid. He was mentioning that we had to pay twice, as he had a bad issue with booking through Expedia and Booking. He said also that he couldn't see that our booking went through from their system. ( generally it takes 30 min everywhere in the world, I never had an issue with last minute booking). When I told him that I will speak with customer service about paying twice and denied check in, he changed behavior and start to be nice and gentle. When the agent contacted him to clarify the situation, he been really kind to me and start to fake smile and acting as a different person. I never been discriminated in my life but here. That's a shame, the hotel wasn't bad. Exept him, everyone nice. I still don't understand the misbehaving of Mr Klaibi to us.

If you're booking through Expedia they will ask you to pay in cash after they already checked you in. I had to pay my extended stay in cash and cancel the rest of my stay and leave.

The hotel was following protocol for covid-19 restrictions and as a result cleaning etc. was very good. Staff were helpful, the selection of food and its quality was excellent. Health and safety was inforced with most customers complying with regulations. All in all this was a very good short break of 4 nights.

Incredible value for money. Outstanding service by front desk, arranging for meal and taxis with very good communication. Huge buffet of foods. Restaurant service was mixed. Bed and especially pillows were uncomfortable. Really my only complaint, though some carpeting in hallway would help with noise. Would stay again and for longer.
