"Hotel Vendôme is an old-fashioned place, situated in the heart of the city, very close to the Tour railway station. My room was located separately from the others, it was big, clean, quiet and comfortable, but had no WiFi, and so, every time I needed to connect to the internet I had to go to the breakfast area. "Comfortable, clean, basic hotel. Staff is eager to please. Breakfast (extra 10 euros) is excellent. But, hotel is on 3rd and 4th floors, up fairly steep steps. There is a SMALL sign in the street floor lobby offering staff to carry luggage up, but it is so small we saw it only after we had manhandled our luggage all the way up. IF you take advantage of this service, the hotel’s location is not an issue. Otherwise, travel light. "
