"Their address is wrong on any maps app. if you plug in their official address, you get a spot 2km from the location, a different campground that is much closer to town. Feels like a bait and switch. Also - not for the quiet traveller. Even though they have "quiet hours from 0-8, they don't mention the nighly shows by the central pool that run from 21:30 to 00:00 and reverberate through THE ENTIRE CAMPGROUND. Good luck getting an early night. The expectation there is that you will only sleep from 1:00 to 7:30."

"Having visited the Flamingo many times between 1994 & 2000 we where curious as to how the hotel had changed / improved . We loved our 1 night stay & our seriously considering to book a 1 week stay in October as we loved it so much . We were in a 1st floor room which have been very recently modernised . It was a fantastic room super comfortable . The reception staff , management & waiting on staff , cleaners etc were all excellent . The hotel should be commended for its excellent hospitality team . We had a lovely stay . "

"Honestly, I had very low expectations given how cheap they charge a two bedroom apartment. Turns out it has many towels, very clean and comfortable beds and basic kitchen supplies. Free parking can be a little difficult to find but location is great too. I would definitely stay here again. "

"The only comment I would make is that the public areas have no soft furnishings and the sound travels. Soft close doors would help as you can hear doors on several levels closing. They sound like they are being slammed closed. "

"In general we had a good experience during our stay. The apartment is well located and reasonably well equipped. The biggest inconvenience is that they have no staff in the premises and any problem has to be handled though a WhatsApp account that is slow to reply. When I arrived at the building, I had not yet received the email with the room information and door code, I eventually did, but it took me a while to contact them and get the information, also, the elevator was out of service and since there was no staff available at that time, we had to carry our luggage up three floors. The night before check out, we lost electrical power in our apartment, once again we had to contact the management via the WhatsApp account to have it restored, we were told that because of the time there might not be any staff in the building to restore the power and that we most likely would have to wait until the next morning, “luckily” there was in fact somebody available and after about 30min the lights came on again. We could definitely stay here again, but I think they should have at least one member of staff available 24h that can handle these type of issues, if not in the premises, at least on call. The company has many properties in that block, all of which use the WhatsApp account system, so I don’t think is an unreasonable request. I think it would be a big improvement in their customer service. "

"The apartment had a horrid musky damp smell, that permitted throughout the stay. Half the lights and plugs didn't work. There is no air con, and the ceiling fan is weak making the apartment sauna like conditions and extremely uncomfortable. The wardrobes, cupboards and draws were not clean and covered in dust, and needing to be cleaned before unpacking suitcases. No sunbeds around the pool, leaving towels and feet covered in dirt from the grass, and being transferred in to the pool / apartments. Not permitted to eat, drink or smoke around the pool sunbathing areas. Very limited communication regarding check in and check out & no one to assist during the day to day. "

"Simply excellent. We booked a full week at the Marconia, staying in a 2 bed with our young child and a friend and found the whole experience wonderful. From the clean, spacious, and elegantly designed rooms to the beautiful pool area with beautiful landscaping and soft jazz - we couldn't have asked for more. The hotel is located in the bustling heart of L'Estartit's old town, which is great for access to the long sandy beach, marina, shops, weekly market and restaurants, however you wouldn't know it from the peace and quiet you experience the minute you enter the building. The rooms were cleaned daily and the AC kept the whole place comfortable whilst the heat raged outside. Cocktails served by the poolside made everything that bit sweeter! The only point to be aware is that the 2 bed flat is open plan,with a mezzanine main bedroom and a single room located off the living room but with no door. This was fine for us but light sleepers may need to check if other flats provide more separation. "
