Torrent is the capital of the Huerta Oeste region and is located at the foot of the mountain Vedat de Torrent, just a few miles from the sea, making it the perfect location to enjoy a trip full of architectural charm, take in the unique landscape and try some of the delicious local gastronomy.

Treat yourself to a fantastic holiday in Torrent and discover the fantastic architectural art in one of the larger cities in Valencia. Take a walk through the old town, where you’re sure to be impressed by the Torre Árabe, an Arabic tower of medieval origin declared a national historical monument that is nothing less than the last remnants of an ancient castle that was erected in the centre of the city. Also take the opportunity to take in the archpriest church of La Virgen de la Asunción, a church that offers a surprising example of Baroque architecture that is also home to some interesting paintings. If you have a special interest in ecclesiastical architecture, you mustn’t leave without first visiting the church of San Luis Beltrán , the Monte Sión convent or the church of San Vicente.

Go on a package holiday in Torrent and have a walk through the Trénor municipal park, where you’ll be able to enjoy the architecture of the Hort de Trénor gardens, officially declared a site of national interest. There you’ll be able to visit not only a curious chapel and house, but also meander through its botanical gardens.

Delve into nature by heading to Monte del Vedat, a mountain that is also one of the summer hotspots in the region. After taking in the architectural works and strolling through the fascinating landscapes, you’ll definitely want to replenish your energy by trying some of the excellent local gastronomy, so treat yourself to a delicious traditional “rossejat” rice dish, the most characteristic dish of Torrent.

As if that weren’t enough, the city enjoys excellent transport links with the rest of the Spanish mainland. Cheap holidays to Torrent from Valencia are easy to find, and it’s connected by two metro lines. If you prefer, you can also get there by car, bus or train from other points in Spain. It’s up to you how you get there. Torrent awaits!
