Torre Colpatria featuring a city

Enjoy panoramic views of Bogotá and spot major city landmarks from the observation deck of one of South America’s tallest buildings.

Marvel at the impressive views across Bogotá and get a bird’s eye view of the city’s major attractions from the top of Torre Colpatria. Rising up from the heart of downtown Bogotá, this 643-foot (196-meter) skyscraper is one of the tallest buildings in South America.

Visit the skyscraper to enjoy the views from its top floor. Ride the elevator to the 48th floor, then step out onto the panoramic observation deck, which opens to the public on weekends and public holidays. The deck offers uninterrupted views in all directions and is the perfect spot to take aerial photographs of various city landmarks.

Look down to the Planetarium of Bogotá and the city’s coliseum-like bullring, Plaza de Toros de Santamaría. Gaze over the rooftops toward the colonial district of La Candelaria in Bogotá’s historic center. Admire the nearby peaks of Monserrate and Guadalupe Hill. On a clear day, you might be able to see as far as Chingaza National Park to the east.

By night, the sight of the tower is as striking as the views from the deck. It is illuminated by brilliant LED lights, making it visible from all over the city. Throughout December, the lights above the observation deck represent the colors of the Colombian flag. The skyscraper also hosts a tower-running event in December, in which athletes from around the world race to climb more than 900 steps to the top.

Located in downtown Bogotá, the Torre Colpatria is easily accessible via public transportation such as buses and the subway. A hop-on, hop-off tourist bus stops a 10-minute walk from the building. If arriving by car, you’ll find metered car parks close by. While in the area, you might want to visit other city attractions, including the Museum of Modern Art and Mercado de las Pulgas (Flea Market).

The observation deck is open on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and public holidays. There is a nominal fee to access the deck.
