Our room was clean which was appreciated, but the property did feel a bit run down for the amount of money we paid given the extremely small space of the room. There was also a lot of drug activity near the property which made us nervous travelling to and from the property. It was an appreciated place to stay for this trip but I will highly likely not return due to the neighborhood and small rooms.

The front desk person was kinda pushy and the area around the hotel felt a little unsafe, especially since we were 2 women travelling together. The bathroom i could tell had not been cleaned properly before we got there s there was a gemstone stuck to the shower wall. The overall furnishing was also in rough condition and parts of the carpet in the hallway was coming off, making a tripping hazard when going down with luggage.

Stinky overall Tiny rooms with stink Showers were not working Everything was wrong

Well , sorry about your terrible experience. Perhaps you booked a room that was not meant for you. Oh ya, about showers; definitely our fault. We should have informed you the faucet needed to be pulled before water comes out. Regretfully the faucet manufacturers have not standardise faucet operation yet.

Bad service, dirty room, didn’t stay

The room was so run down and empty that I didn’t even stay the night even when they refused to refund me. The first room had a bloodstain on the bed sheet. The second room had holes in the pillowcase and hair on the bedside table. The management was also rude saying I was «  not an interesting person » because I checked that the sheets were clean before using the bed. I wouldn’t even leave my bag there it felt so unsafe. They also requested a safety deposit even if the stay was already paid for online.

We understand your concern, but we are unsure if it was indeed a blood stain. It is possible that it could have been coffee or another liquid. While we acknowledge that replacing the sheet could have resolved the issue, we understand you opted to move to a different room.In the second room, we noticed the hole in the pillowcase. We admit that our housekeeping team missed this issue, and we apologize for that.Concerning the tiny hair on the side table, we assure you that it was not intentionally placed there by our staff. Despite our investigation, we could not determine how it ended up there.We understand that our property is a one-star establishment, and we regret that your experience did not meet your expectations. We recognize that comparing our property with luxury hotels that charge 500 to 2000 a night may not be fair.We also noticed that you made significant alterations to both rooms, including removing bedsheets. Many of our guests have appreciated our rates and location in downtown Toronto, and we are sorry that we could not meet your expectations on this occasion.Thank you for staying with us, and we apologize for any inconvenience caused.

You complaints are definitely worth looking into; Specially the laundry services company, who charge hundreds of dollars for washing the laundry and leave the blood stains. The are still investigating, and once we know the outcome, we'll inform you. You did not tell us how big was the hair or the colour of hair; we were unable to find any match. We suggest, next time keep the hair as evidence. Yes taking deposit at time of check-in is standard procedure, as pre-authorisation only and was removed with a week as promised.Please don't let your experience disappoint you of Toronto, as a fine city. There are many hotel in close vicinity starting at 600 a night, and not less than 145 for your rate
