I prefer their sister property across the street. Mizpah has great history but the remodel at the Belvada is better. The rooms had no heat so bundle up in your room. I think this is temporary. My room was tiny. Old school. I also saw no ghosts.

It’s a really cool old property with a lot of history behind it. Unfortunately, the room we checked into had no hot water. The water barely got warm at all, it was way too cold to actually shower. We complained and they switched us to a different room, in which we had the same problem! We decided it wasn’t worth the hassle of complaing again. Our hotel room was only 58 degrees, we turned the heat on to 70 and it didn’t make a difference. By the following morning, the room was only at 62 degrees. We had to ask for extra blankets. I believe this old property has plumbing and heat issues that they need to figure out. I felt ripped off because it was freezing cold and couldn’t even take a warm shower.
