an extremely run down establishment, with very poor service especially from the girl in restaurant that made breakfast.. uncooked meat & other food slapped on one plate… ie egg, tomatoe toast & fruit all mixed up…couldn’t drink the coffee…i asked for bacon to be cooked better, refused to do so… she was rude, in helpful & didn’t care about guests, too busy on phone & laughing with local fishermen… i liked the location close to fishing boat wharves but that was the best thing about hotel….ie…the action going on outside…. i asked for laundry service at reception early am, they said ok… came back in evening & it was still at reception, not laundered so i took it back dissapointed…. absolutely no english spoken… difficult when booking online so hope this helps YOU make better decision than i did….

It's really unfortunate that communication was difficult.In addition, this is Korea, and it's even more unfortunate that you don't understand Korean culture. As for the breakfast part, we didn't understand your culture, and you didn't understand our culture. And I couldn't do laundry service because it was Sunday, so I said I would send it on Monday. But you just told me to give it to you. I'm very sorry that we couldn't communicate with each other and caused misunderstandings.Please resolve the misunderstanding and only keep the good memories

We enjoyed our stay at this pleasant and well situated mid range hotel. The hotel is on the waterfront and within walking distance of the central tourist attractions. The ferry terminal is about a 15-20 minute walk. The room - deluxe double ocean view was large and comfortable with all required amenities. The staff were pleasant and helpful. I would recommend this hotel for a good value stay in tongyeong

Anchovy is a very nice place at walking distance (few hundreds m.) from Gangguan but in a quieter corner. Ample, spotless room w picturesque view of sea. The staff helped me find my way through Tongyeong and to the ferries to the islands.

It was a great hotel, big room and comfortable rooms. The location is a short walk (20 min) down a busy street that isn’t so pedestrian friendly. We loved the quaint, unique location and we were always up for the walk to mural village, turtle ships, Diprang light show.
