Tokyo Bay Shiomi Prince was a nice family friendly hotel option close to Central Tokyo and Tokyo Disney (7 and 14 minutes respectively on the Keiyo Line). The facility seems almost brand new, with standard (for Japan) small Western style rooms. The hotel decor was modern and stylish but I am not sure how well it will age with time. The sento bath was the highlight of the stay. Nice clean modern sento with one of the largest indoor baths I have ever seen. Also, there was a convenient Family Mart Conbini attached to the lobby with all of the usual delights (egg salad sandos and Famichiki) Another nice find about the location was the breakfast restaurant, Nakau, across the street. Seemed almost like a "Denny's" in the US but specializing in Japanese style breakfast with soggy bacon, perfect sunny side up eggs, miso soup and rice. The price was right at 300-500 yen per set meal. A minor disappointment from my stay was my own confusion over the convenience of the location in Shiomi. It was marketed as a 7 minute train ride to Tokyo Station, which is true... but what was not obvious was that the Keiyo Line is far, far away from the main parts of Tokyo Station. 15-20 minutes walking inside the station each time you want to transfer.

Upon arrival, staff was extremely friendly and they try to check in as quickly as possible. A convenience is there is a money changer in the hotel, a train station is less than a 3 min walk, a family mart is attached to the hotel, and there is a restaurant that serves pretty good food inside. We stayed 5 nights and thoroughly loved the hotel. Everything was extremely clean, amenities great, quiet area, and you even receive pajamas, tooth brush, toothpaste, facial cleanser and face moisturizer. If you stay, Skippers Shiomi is amazing for something casual.
