The room was in a very good condition and everything was at all time clean. The staff was very friendly and I loved the location of the hostel, plus there is a great coffee shop nearby and many 24h supermarkets. It is okay for that price but I have never had worse sleep in a hostel than in this one. It is not about the hostel, it is about the people who sleep there and are extremely reckless when they get in the room at night.
Without any problem to communicate with the staff. The area is nice and quiet

cool hostel, the workers are really great, helpful and nice. The shower room smells a bit moldy, so just keep that in mind. They do have a nice kitchen area with a tv, if u just need a place to crash its okay. my pillowcase was not clean thank god i had brought my own. Had to pay 200 yen for a towel. All in all okay hostel
Clean bathroom, shower, kitchen. Comfortable cabin, raks and enough space to leave my luggage without disturbing others, elevator. Nice staff. Subway station a couple blocks away, 5-10 minutes walk to Asakusa main area. All kind of food restaurants around. Nice price. Everything was so nice. Thank you very much

Not again
I normally give raving reviews to capsule hostels in Japan, but man was this a disappointment. I had to find a place to stay for one night and I totally should have paid more. The place was super crowded, the pods were crazy tiny, and there was no storage space. People on my floor (women only), while respectful, were dirty as hell. People took shoes into the room when they should have left the shoes outside in the locker. Worse yet they put shoes on the rack where you can put your luggage and I'd come back to the room with a pair of disgusting smelly platform next to my stuff. I couldn't stand it and was lucky that they gave me a spot next to the window so there's some space on the side. The pod was OK but it's way too many beds in one room. I know it's Tokyo but I've stayed in much better capsules than this one. That said it is indeed very cheap and in a safe neighbourhood which is technically walkable to Ueno (20 min on foot). I can also tell the cleaners do their absolute best to keep this place clean but man 4 (5?6? can't remember) shower stalls for the whole building is just not enough. I made sure I took an early shower before the stall gets wrecked. Otherwise there were enough toilets and sinks on each floor which was appreciated. There's a tiny space upstairs which you can sit and do some work but gets crowded fast. All in all, avoid, come only if you're broke.
This is the third time staying at Asakusa W-inn. I was really impressed this time because they made a great effort to improve the general tidiness and quality of stay they offered to their guests. Hope they keep their spirits up and I will definitely come back soon.
I had an enjoyable stay at this hostel in Tokyo! Although I shared the room with 15 other people, it was surprisingly quiet and peaceful. Everything was clean and tidy, which made me feel very comfortable. The staff were really friendly and welcoming.
The surrounding area is extremely convenient, offering easy access to transportation and numerous nearby facilities. One of my favourite parts was the lounge view, where you can see the Tokyo Skytree right from there! The night view is fantastic!
All in all, I had a great experience and would definitely stay here again!
Everyone was careful not to make unnecessary noise.
The kitchen was easy to use, and I was looking forward to making meals every day.
It was also nice to be able to talk with people from different countries.
