Convenient/friendly/comfortable, no non-smoking?
Posted 26 Apr 2019 on HotelsLocated in a very convenient area of Tokyo, extremely close to Nihombashi (Nihonbashi) Station. The room was small but very clean and comfortable and staff was courteous and helpful. The only thing was that there was no non-smoking room available (not sure whether that was only at my price point, due to room availability or because all rooms are smoking).

Non-smoking room next time
Posted 15 Jan 2018 on HotelsI stayed 2 nights a week apart, I was given a smoking room- I’m not sure if this was my own fault during the booking process but I don’t remember being asked. I don’t smoke and when I asked to hang rooms I was told they had no others. If you are a non smoker be sure to make a note of that in your booking- the smoking rooms smell quite strongly.
The staff were very polite and tried to help me, unfortunately I don’t speak Japanese so was a little difficult to communicate with them. Location is very convenient and apart from the smell the room was clean

Easy walking distnace to Tokyo Station
Posted 22 Oct 2015 on Hotels1 night business stay needing closeness to Tokyo station. - Perfect location. - Rooms V E R Y small, hardly space to unpack. - Else clean, aircon. Fit for purpose for 2-3 star standard for night stay. Not suitable for day work.

Pros: Very little
Cons: Just avoid.
Location: No, I have better things to do with my time.
Close to the railway station, but frankly a rather smelly room (I had originally wanted non-smoking, but Expedia gave me a smoking one) . Although the bed and pillows were fine, the red cushions reeked of smoke and had clearly not been cleaned for a long time. As a late-comer I paid a great deal more than my colleague who had booked earlier and frankly I could have done better elsewhere.
Black marks both to the hotel and to Expedia (who now pester me relentlessly on the internet).
