My stay here was just okay. My futon and duvet were stained yellow and there was mildew on the sink of the bathroom. Even though they were “clean”, receiving stained linens was a bit upsetting. There were many holes in the shoji paper which were patched up a bit haphazardly. The saving grace was the location- very close to everything you want to see in Akihabara. Across the street is an artisan market where you can buy unique goods. If you only eat Halal there is a great halal restaurant as well. For the price, I feel you can do better.

The building is dated but very reasonably priced for what you get. Appreciated how close it is to stations and the late night eats

One of the most forginer-friendly hotels!
Posted 3 Jan 2024 on HotelsNakagawa inn is one of a kind, its staff are very welcoming and helpful, and if you call in advance they can allow you to come in well before opening hours. I loved my stay at Nakagawa Inn, and I hope to return there again soon!

This was the most affordable place I've been able to find that can accommodate 4 large people in one room with tatami mats. It has it's own bathroom, closet space, and necessary amenities. The hotel was within walking distance to Okachimachi station and Akihabara so it's a bit of a hidden gem. It has a genkan at the entrance so it feels like a studio size apartment. One thing to get used to is sleeping on the futon on the floor, but it is thick enough to sleep normally. The staff can speak English really well so it'll be easy to get assistance. It's located next to a lot of restaurants so there's always something different to eat. There's also plenty of artisan stores to buy unique fashionable clothing and accessories. This is one hotel I'd recommend for a small group. The rooms are actually bigger than the picture show so there'll be plenty of room for a family.
