"Average experience, this is clearly a newly open residence and only one floor is in service while the owner is still renovating the second floor. Maybe a lot for one person to handle , but professionalism could improve, cleanliness was ok but not perfect and while some things are newly renovated, this is an older building. Owner is helpful though and this may all improve in time . For now it’s a bit expensive for what it is, but there is limited options on Aka island anyways. "

"Yuumi and her team were so lovely and made us feel so welcome in Aka! They picked us up from the port even though it was a short way which was so helpful with our luggage. Hosei is right on the beach front and you can see the best sunset from here as well as relax in the day. It is so tranquil! We went during New Year and many places on the island were closed but they served food which was very traditional Japanese style. The rooms and shared bathroom/shower were always very very clean. "I will start by saying, Do NOT stay here. We arrived at this run down, disgusting looking building at check in time to find a back in 20 minutes sign and a sign out the front with names and rooms (ours had my incorrect name using my middle name). The room assigned to us was locked, so we waited the 20 minutes, which turned into two HOURS until some helpful person called the owner for us, who told us that the room we were meant to be in was not the one on the paper. "Great place to stay, with a very friendly host! Simple, but ample amenities, and great location! The host made us Japanese and American style breakfasts from scratch everyday! Sleeping on the floor futons took some getting used to, but my wife and I had a great stay!"

"A very lovely place, that makes you feel comfortable and warm right upon entering. We bookd vegetarian breakfast and it was carefully prepared, delicious and varied every day. The landlady was very friendly and welcoming. Big bonus was the cute kitty that paid visits to the kitchen once in a while."

Location - approximately 10 mins ride from Naha International Airport with monorail to Asahibashi Station and then another 10 mins walk to hotel with luggage. Room was quiet on the 10th floor. Easy location, comfortable stay.

"Grand Cabin hotel is a short walk from the Akamine station, only 1 stop away from the airport. There are lots of co-working spaces available, and a 24-hour free beverage station at the main lobby, which is really great. Staff are kind and helpful. I appreciated that the "rooms" are lockable and very clean. There are also numerous buses and a monorail providing easy access to nearby attractions, except that i didnt find many restaurants nearby. My stay was comfortable, and will definitely recommend this place to my friends."
