Tiskilwa Inn
Posted 8 Oct 2020 on HotelsThe Tiskilwa Inn is nicely restored mansion originally built in 1848. It has 5 guest rooms, all recently refurbished in the finest style. Our first night we were the only guests so it felt like our own private stately home. I want to go back so I can stay in each of the other four rooms.

Stay here! Amazing hosts, house, and food!
Posted 9 Oct 2019 on HotelsWe wanted to visit Starved Rock State Park but couldn't find anywhere to stay really close by. So we decided to expand our search and we're so glad we did! The Tiskilwa Inn was such a treat (and still only 40 minutes from the park). The house was built in 1848 and you can still see some of that history, but bathrooms, kitchen, etc. have been completely updated recently so you get the best of both worlds. Ric and Jeremy were wonderful, welcoming hosts and the breakfasts were delicious (as were the homemade cookies Ric sent us off with!) We stayed 2 nights and wished we could have stayed longer. Seriously, whatever your plans are, make Tiskilwa Inn part of them. And ask to visit the alpaca farm! That ended up being an unexpected highlight of our trip.
