Pleasant surprise!
Posted 1 May 2018We loved our stay at Refugio del Pintor.We were pleasantly surprised by the interior setting as the outside of the hotel didn’t look like much. Very tasteful decor good healthy breakfast and clean comfortable rooms. Location is a bit far from the center of town and restaurants but if you have a car or don’t mind walking this hotel is a good choice. Good central place to visit all the sights around The area!

Nice Place In Tilcara
Posted 26 Nov 2017 on HotelsEverything was clean and tidy, bedrooms were small but adequate, plumbing left a little bit to be desired, but for an old converted house it was ok. Breakfast was not so great though with sour milk and a very limited number of choices.Owner was very pleasant and helpful. One last thing we found that we could not use any credit card ( none out of our party worked) despite the owner turning the machine on and off etc., in the end we paid with USD, so it was ok.

Beautiful, peaceful hotel

Pros: Location. Staff. Rooms. Quiet.
Wow! What a great hotel! We were only in Tilcara for one night but would have stayed longer just for this hotel. The hotel is on a quiet street (even with the current road construction) but a very easy walk to all of the restaurants and shopping. The room was very clean and we were welcomed with some ice cold bottles of water. The breakfast was good - typical breakfast in Argentina. We would highly recommend this hotel!

Very nice little hotel
Posted 8 May 2014 on HotelsVery nice atmosphere with stone walls and antique furniture. Location is just a few cuadras from the main plaza of the village. Staff is very kind and helpful. Breakfast is big with home made bread, yummy! It would have been perfect if the rooms had better noise insulation...
