the property had a lovely view of lake garda, the staff were very friendly and helpful. i did not read the small print about having to pay extra for bed linen and towels. the bed was very uncomfortable and very noisy. the fridge needed a defrosting and fan or air conditioning would of been nice. the whole place felt fairly run down and in need of a lift.

Hotel Residence La Rotonda
Posted 1 Nov 2017
Pros: Nice location, let down by staff and quality of accommodation.
Cons: Better equipped apartments, shows should work and there should be basic washing up tools, like a cloth, plug and washing up bowel?
Location: Local village was very nice!
Very basic accommodation. Beds very uncomfortable. Kitchen poorly equipped, we had no plug to wash up, ask reception and never received one. There were dirty dishes in the cupboards from previous guests, so we had to rewash them before we could use them. No washing up liquid or cloth. We mentioned to reception who said they would speak to someone and never did! The shower was a dripper. Walls very thin so you could hear everyone! The apartment had a nice view of the lake& was spacious.

Moved to overflow hotel :(
Posted 6 Oct 2017 on HotelsUnfortunately, we were informed we would be at another hotel called Hotel Elisa that is 1.6 km up the hill, so we didn't get to stay at this exact hotel. We drove up the hill to Elisa and checked into the room which was just fine and we did still have a decent view of Lago Garda.
I wasn't thrilled about being in this other hotel, so I went back to Rotonda to see what could be done. This time the check in woman was somewhat aggressive when I told her I wasn't happy with the other hotel, reason being that I didn't want to be further up the hill away from the Lake and that the views weren't as good. She told me that the Rotonda hotel was totally full, and claimed that Elisa is "only 600 meters further" when it is really 1.6km. She also said "how can you even say the view is not as good?! Its up higher on the hill so you can see more". See the two photos I've attached.
I then asked her if we can please have a partial refund because we were unhappy in the other hotel, and she informed me only the chief/manager would be able to discuss that. The chief/manager was not there, but the check in woman assured me she would have the chief/manager call me when they were there; this did not happen. The next morning I went back to try to talk to the chief/manager, but they weren't there again. A different woman was there and much nicer, and gave us a voucher for 2 pizzas and soft drinks at the pizzeria. I still never got to talk to the manager before leaving.

Didn't get what we expected or booked
Posted 2 Oct 2017We booked accommodation at a hotel and that's not what we got. We had an apartment that was independent from the hotel. I can come t on staff as we didn't have any interaction with anyone. We didn't use any of the facilities as it was an inconvenience to us to make an effort to travel to the hotel and if we did there was no parking during the evening. On our booking it said 2 bedrooms. We were all stuck in one room. Not ideal having a mixed age grouo of children.
Over all felt missed and let down. Didn't get what we paid for. Disappointed Ingarfield family

Lovely choice - no regrets.
Posted 12 Aug 2017 on HotelsLovely hotel. Really pleased, actually. Free brekkie, lovely pool areas and wonderful staff. Rooms were a little basic (no air con, no safe, no fridge, slow wifi, etc.) and it was a little unbearable at night (we were there for the recent heatwave!). Just a ten minute drive to the lake and 5 minute walk to the village above (lovely restaurants and bars). Car is essential to make the most of your stay. Oh, make friends with Gino at the bar - what a lovely chap!
