Running the entire length of the azure coastline, this 5 kilometre promenade is a bustling walkway situated between pebbled beaches and crystal blue waters on the left, and luxurious cafés and restaurants on the right.

La Croisette is a gorgeous seaside boulevard lined with palm trees, luxurious hotels and the most fashionable restaurants and bars in the city. This 1.2-mile (2-kilometer) boardwalk is where the big names of the movie industry come to be seen during the Cannes Film Festival.

Situated in front of the Old Town and at the end of Avenue Jean Médecin, Place Massena is the junction between several main boulevards in the city. With its numerous coffee shops, high street department stores and quirky restaurants, this prodigious plaza is the epicentre of activity in downtown Nice. The venue is the home ground of OGC Nice, the city’s popular soccer team playing in Ligue 1, France’s top league. The stadium also occasionally hosts home matches for Toulon, one of France’s most successful rugby union teams.
