Paphos Harbour is home to an iconic castle, picturesque views of the Mediterranean Sea and a large portion of the city’s nightlife venues. The marina is an interesting place to watch local fisherman and boats in the afternoon. As evening falls, it becomes more animated, as revelers flock to bars and restaurants to listen to live music.

2. Coral Bay Beach

Coral Bay Beach is a scenic cove of sand nestled between cliffs outside Paphos. With lifeguards on duty and gentle waves, it is a safe area for kids to swim. You’ll find many hotels and restaurants in this lively area, as well as a 13th-century settlement at the northern point of the beach.

3. Tombs of the Kings

Meander through the eerie maze of underground burial chambers in the Tomb of the Kings. Parts of the subterranean crypt were used by the Romans and the Ptolemaics before them. The site dates back as far as the fourth century B.C. Aristocrats and other important members of society were buried in the tomb, which takes its name from its regal appearance.

4. Paphos Castle

Paphos Castle is one of the city’s most iconic landmarks due to its rich history and striking appearance. Initially, it was built as a Byzantine fortress to protect the harbor, but it was destroyed and rebuilt several times as the centuries passed. It has been a fort, a prison and, most recently, a salt warehouse during British occupation. Admire the imposing look of the castle, which looms over the harbor as a reminder of the city’s complicated past.

5. Paphos Archaeological Park

Relive the various stages of civilization from prehistory to the Middle Ages in Paphos Archaeological Park. The majority of the excavated ruins belong to the Roman era, including the remarkable mosaic floors of former villas. The search for fascinating remnants from former worlds still continues today in the park, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site due to its historical importance.
