Like the front garden and free car parking. Property in need of renovation and brought up to modern standards such as new carpets, air-conditioning and high speed free WiFi.

Link to Dad’s Army was a bonus. A hotel with lots of character.

I agree with several other reviewers: service at The Bell is excellent, the food (we had) was very good and our room was comfortable . However, it's a shame that Greene King do not seem to be attending to items of wear and tear in the building. Overall though we were very happy with our stay, and felt it was good value for money.

Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The location is excellent. The room was clean and comfortable.

Great building, though some of the property was tired and could do with a refurb, though it was all very clean.

Sadly paintwork and furniture vary dated.
Generally everywhere was well cleaned and bed linen was very good.
