The Sarah Kendall House is a beautiful historic home in walking distance to shopping and restaurants. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch with a view of the harbor while watching the sunset. Our room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. The owner and his son were friendly, welcoming and accommodating. Breakfast was outstanding! Made to order eggs, pancakes, French toast, bacon, sausage. Plus, a table with bagels, muffins, fruit and juices. We highly recommend the Sarah Kendall House!

Posted 31 Aug 2023 on HotelsThis is a a true gem. We were greeted by the owner, who gave us a brief history and tour of the inn. Our room was very comfortable and clean. The breakfast was superb - eggs and bacon cooked to order, and a wonderful spread of fruits, bagels, yogurt, juice and coffee. The inn is located within walking distance of the transit center and waterfront, so there was no need to drive our car anywhere. It was a very warm and inviting experience, and we will definitely be back.

Wonderful hosts and delicious spread for breakfast. Accommodations were lovely. Location was a 10-15 min walk from the main dock area of Newport, which was perfect for us.
