"Arrival at the property was disappointing. It took a while to get hold of the lodge manager , as no one was at the gate to open. Dispute notices about dangerous animals, I was still expected to get out of the car and open the gate, same at check out too. This was is irresponsible as if puts guests in danger! Property requires updating, no phone in the lodge, so guests have no way of contacting reception/ manager. Staff were accommodating, attentive and helpful. Had fish and chips for dinner, it was devine! My stay was elevated by waking up to the sound of a. roaring lion as a wake-up alarm clock. With improvements to their reception af The lodge entrance and some lodge imp were movements, I would stay there again."

"Amazing resort in Pilanesberg. Very high standard of service. Food and service first class. Safari vehicles well maintained and comfortable. Even have comfort stop during drives. Our ranger excellent (Jaktah-probably spelt incorrectly sorry) with vast knowledge of wildlife and birdlife. Saw big five. Each drive very different in terms of viewing and terrain. Rooms comfortable and spacious as were communal areas. Nice pool."

"Wow, where to start. For background info, my wife and lived for 3 years in Kenya and have visited numerous luxury lodges and been on various types of game drives. THIS lodge was without doubt the most impressive we have ever visited and the whole staff were incredibly friendly. The food was exceptional and especially in the evening had a dinner party vibe. We went at the end of August (their winter) but most days the weather was 28-30 degrees and we saw the big five. The park was plenty big enough to explore for 3 days and we would have loved to say longer. The price includes alcoholic drinks. We had a room with a hot tub and a great view of the water hole which had Elephants as well as numerous types of deer. It was so picturesque! The park is advertised as malaria-free but actually it is pretty much insect free. When we lived in Kenya, sitting out in the evening could be a battle involving repellent and netting. In THIS lodge you could sit out in the evening without being pestered at all, it was so relaxing. The game drives were definitely the highlight for us though. We were in a 4x4 jeep in small groups of between 4 to 8 and the driver was so knowledgeable and friendly and made them all great fun. We had toilet stops in the park. Early morning game drives involved coffee and a cake. Then in the afternoon we had a sundowner and then a night game drive each time too. Fantastic stay. We will definitely be back. This lodge is superb at every level. This was a dream holiday."

"Place is beautiful the couple who runs it will do anything for you.Excellent cook in tour guide. The road to their cottages is a little long but worth the effort."

"We appreciated the extra care and service provided by the staff and owners. The room had some issues when we arrived but were seen to as soon as they could. We had fantastic meals made for us, even catering to our vegetarian request. The pool was a great way to cool off, close too National Park, easy secure parking and a fan to keep us cool during loadshedding. Thank you for a fabulous stay"
