Close to Galveston for cruise

Shower area had mold
The night desk clerk was rude and surly

The shower valves were difficult to operate(almost broken), and the bathtub was dirty.
The room had a terrible smell of mold.
The screen on the lobby counter was unsightly and gave a very bad impression upon entry; I was not sure whether it was a relic from the pandemia, or a bulletproof screen.
Breakfast was poor.

The room stunk and smelt like mold. I felt sick for the next few days. Staff was friendly at the desk.

Cruise ship: Princess cancelled the cruise two days before sailing and past the deadline to cancel our room. Too keep this from happening, we will have to drive all the way down to the port on the day of departure.
In the past the (Quality Inn at I45) stays were excellent.
