This hotel, which is actually located in Kawayu Onsen rather than Teshikaga, seemed to be the only place open in mid-April - the other hotels were closed. Staff were friendly. We had a wayou double, which is a room with a small double bed connected to a slightly raised area containing tatami mats, low coffee table, chairs and TV (Japanese channels only). Wifi wasn't available in the room, but it is in the downstairs lobby area. The room had poor soundproofing - hallway conversations and sounds next door were easily heard. The room itself was terribly dated and worn out - everything should be junked and furnished again. It seemed OK from a cleanliness standpoint. The all Japanese buffet had quite a few choices, but the quality of the food wasn't very good. The onsen baths using geo-thermal hot springs water were good. There were a couple of different baths, and although I don't read Japanese, my take on the difference between them, besides a slight temperature variation, was that the PH levels and mineral content differed. Parking was free, and next to the hotel.
For a single night, this hotel was OK. But it isn't a hotel I'd want to return to or recommend to others.
