An absolute little gem of a place. Very private and basic with great food (restaurant is part of the resort) breakfast included local fruits which are delicious. And the resort has its own private rock pool which was a stand out for us. It's teaming with reef fish as a great snorkeling reef is just 30m out of the rock pool. Truely excellent experience.

Damien and Sally were so wonderful and accommodating. From organising us a bus into town and getting us takeaway kava - nothing was too big an ask. They even arranged a romantic table out on the rock pool deck for my partner's 30th birthday. We honestly had the best time. It's very peaceful and quiet and the 2 dogs on the property were another highlight. The rock pool is fantastic and definitely worth exploring at all tides. Highly recommend staying here if you want to stay further away from Port Vila, which for me was a new and more relaxing experience overall.

Like staying with family (without the dramas)

Posted 29 Sep 2018
Pros: Location - away from town.
Cons: Can't think of anything.
Location: A hire car is probably a good idea as the mini vans can get expensive when doing individual trips.
Great secluded spot run by kind friendly staff. Damien and Sally were present and attentive, helpful with advice and organising transport and a stack of books when the rain set in.. The food is fantastic - best chicken curry I have had outside of India!

A great place!

Ripples on the Bay is a small property. The attention is super personalized. It is almost like going to a family or friend's place. We would return.

Piece of Paradise

Posted 16 Jan 2018 on Wotif
The quality of the food is exceptional so be warned you will want to try everything on the menu and for those inclined, they offer vegetarian and gluten-free options as well. If you’re after peace and tranquillity, then this is the place for you! A great atmosphere to find one's self or seek direction in life and a beautiful place to appreciate nature's gifts. The natural pool is AMAZING and should be explored at all tide levels as it is full of marine life and has an abundance of surprises, most in plain sight and others if your are more patient. Damien, Sally and Barney made me feel welcome and more importantly as a woman traveling alone, safe. They respected my space but were also willing to converse. Thank you for sharing this beautiful and tranquil paradise.

Relaxing and comfortable

Posted 20 Oct 2017 on Wotif
Pros: Good but basic facilities, great personality of place and people
Cons: Everything was perfect
Location: Out of town, private beach coral pool, we hired a car and enjoyed most of Efate’s attractions
This is a small resort, about 20 minutes from central Vila. It only has four bungalows and is targeted towards couples without children. If you just need to relax, enjoy the sound of the surf on coral, eat some good value food (especially the curries), this is the place to be. The rooms are comfortable, the hosts are welcoming and personable, the staff are great. Adults Only, only refers to the fact that it probably isn’t the place to bring kids, although they are welcome to day visit, to swim in the coral pool, and dine in the restaurant. We hired a car, which gave us immense freedom to do as we pleased, with a lovely spot at the centre of our holiday. Sally and Damien are wonderful hosts, the facilities are great (but there is no TV, or aircon, but we didn’t care)(there is wifi), by comparison to the rest of Vila, it is quite good value! Thoroughly recommend Ripples on the Bay
