Excellent vacation. While there are many restaurants on property our favourites were a beautiful walk down the boardwalk in La Caleta. and beside the resort El Mirador.

The hotel location is outstanding in the resort, and the grounds are beautiful and a good balance of sun and shade. The hotel itself rightly earns it's high reputation and we could not fault the quality of accommodation, food or service the entire 9 days we stayed. If we return to the resort, it will be our preferred hotel to return to.

Nice hotel and nice big territory, very green. Hotel staff is great! Amazing breakfast. - There are smoking areas in the hotel, but it seems that the staff is okay with people smoking on their balcony which was very annoying to us as we were not able to sit on our balcony due to smoking nearby. The dedicated smoking area is very close to the sun loungers. - Some rules are not well explained, for example, if the water in the room is complimentary.

We are sorry to hear that the smoking on nearby balconies affected your experience. While we have designated smoking areas clearly marked throughout the hotel, we understand how this may have been inconvenient for you. We will review the situation to ensure all guests can enjoy their spaces comfortably. Regarding the water in the room, there are four bottles as a courtesy of the Hotel: two next to the coffee maker and one in each side table. We liked the VIP status that was provided. However it could be improved with a more proactive approach by the staff. For example rather than waiting for us to ask they could take our orders. The afternoon tea was good but the evening canopes were a little disappointing. The surroundings were very nice and the facilities good, however we did not like the extensive use of towles in the morning to reserve sun loungers. This problem was reduced a little by having our own VIP terrace, but on our final day was not available because it was used by a wedding.
