Quiet hotel just off Old Town
Posted 16 Aug 2024 on HotelsSimple and clean hotel just off the busiest part of old-town Tbilisi with super kind and helpful hosts. The perfect location if you want something quiet, but close to everything in Sololaki, Mtatsminda and Vera, which was all reachable by foot or short taxi ride.

The staff are really good the area isn’t the best
If you want a low budget place it is a good place to stay

It was okay for a very last minute booking. Staff was not friendly and I was with a friend and we both had very early flights. I left before, and a staff member instead of asking me when leaving, went to the room and opened while my friend was still asleep and almost had an heart attack! How irresponsible!

The Hotel Diplomat was what I needed: an inexpensive hotel for a week in a quiet area. The staff was very helpful. Please note that the hotel is on the top of a hill. Mini-buses run regularly to the hotel, but be sure to figure out the number of the buses and where they stop, as walking up the hill is difficult.
