This little hotel (Petit Resort Native Sea Amami) is a real gem. A small number of rooms, superb location overlooking the bay with access to a lovely beach. Good food, friendly, helpful staff. Idyllic.

Posted 6 Mar 2018 on HotelsA fantsstic little hotel right on the bluff above the beach. Super room--clean, comfortable, wood floors, a little balcony overlooking the sea. Delicious Japanese food, both breakfast and dinner, and Ryuku musicians played at dinner. Great staff. I loved this place.

wonderful views and beach

Pros: The views and the location on the beach (short two min walk down to the beach from the annex rooms). restaurant was good.
Cons: It was entirely my fault for not speaking Japanese but communication was tricky at times
Location: good for diving, snorkelling, beaches. It's nearly an hour's drive to the mangrove area but worth the trip.
I had a fantastic stay. The hotel is very nice and the food is excellent. They had ordered an Italian dinner for me the first night and it was fine, some elements of it were excellent like the soup and arancini, but I prefer to eat Japanese food while I'm in Japan and so for the remaining nights I had the Japanese dinners which were really wonderful. The staff don't speak much English but they all tried to be helpful and friendly. The airport pick up and shuttle back there on the last day worked perfectly. I would strongly recommend getting a car then you can see more of the island (I didn't). The hotel organised kayaking, forest walk and snorkelling trips for me.

台風の時期も含めて宿泊しましたが、自家発電もあり、レストランも普通に営業しており、安心して過ごすことが出来ました。とても、ありがたかったです。
ホテルとしては、メンテナンスをしっかりとされた海の家的なホテルで、それをどう思うかではないか。
レストランは、とても美味しく、リーズナブルで良い。海のアクティビティへのアクセスは、とても良い。近所も含めていっぱいある。
ただし、奄美の中心地、名瀬までは30分強かかるので、飲みに行ったりするのは遠い。
