""Well yes, I made this booking at the request of my husband, who was coming off the Overland Track a day earlier than expected. THANKS for being available! Reviews were great and so were the photos... I would have enjoyed taking advantage of this. BUT THEN he decided to try and catch the flight back to Adelaide today after I'd already booked the room. It was a long drive from Lake St Clair directly to the airport, so the two of them (him and old friend from Colorado) couldn't even take advantage...

"Great property with a good breakfast. Only issue is that my bedside light would not go off as the button was indented. I called the desk at 450pm to tell them and they said they would send someone up. Around 730pm I was getting ready for bed to wake up for my 5am flight and went down to the front desk to check on it because no one had come up. "The property was very clean and had everything we needed. Perfect location right next to the gorge. We went mid week when penny royal was closed, I'm not sure if the noise from the park would be annoying if you stayed over the weekend. The backdrop of penny royal added to our experience. "

"The Mantra is located very close to most amenities, and a very easy walk to Hobart harbor. The staff were friendly and most helpful re information on tours around the area. Our room was cleaned daily, the breakfasts we had were excellent with 1st class coffee. I would recommend this hotel to all who visit Hobart."
