Worth a visit

Posted 13 Aug 2018 on Hotels
Nice place, had indifferent weather, some spectacular rain storms. The Hotel was quite unusual and not too easy to find but once there room was OK, breakfast was a bit limited but fine and the town is really nice!

Comfortable & convenient B&B in Tarquinia

Posted 24 Oct 2017 on Hotels
A convenient B&B for walking around Tarquinia. Travellers should note that you have to park in the public parking lot about 500m from the B&B and carry luggage up a hill. This was not a problem for us, but worth noting for some travellers. The reception was friendly, and the room was spacious and very clean with good wifi. Breakfast was generous, and included toast, yogurt, fresh fruit, cereals and coffee. We found the location ideal for a walking tour of the medieval parts of the city, and to the Etruscan tombs and Museum of Archaeology. We enjoyed a sunset view from the town at a lookout point that was about 10 minute walk from the B&B. There is a small grocery store in the same building and many other shops and restaurants are nearby. Overall a good choice for a short stay in Tarquinia with access to all the main attractions and amenities.

The staff were welcoming and engaging. We could ask them anything. The hotel was immaculate and comfortable and was located in the centre of this special historic town and an easy walk to the amazing tomb painting.

Very friendly and helpful.

Pros: The staff were exceptional and everything else pleasant. The breakfast was the only place to provide for my gluten free and sugar free diet.
Location: Tarquinia is a charming small town. WE went to see the Etruscan necropolis.
We were treated as friends. The breakfast terrace has a beautiful view and can be used whenever one wants.

convenient for archaeology, but requires ear plugs

Posted 2 Dec 2016 on Hotels
1. Room was nicely decorated (nice female touch). 2. good place to stay for 1 night except that our room was facing a busy street. Traffic kept us awake at night. Bring your own ear plugs. 3. Very good breakfast in a nice breakfast room. 4. Convenient location for Arch. museum and also walking to the necropolis. 5. very well managed.

The rooms in this hotel look nothing like those pictured. The hotel is overpriced as it's located on a busy corner and cars keep guests awake all night.

we are sorry that you have negatively evaluated our guest house but sincerely we are surprised you did it in relation to pictures of a room that maybe you have not booked! rooms in our hotel are different from each other and have very different prices depending on the characteristics. On august Tarquinia is very lively and frequented by joyful young people; we are located in the heart of the old town so it is normal to hear noise from the street but closing the windows the problem is resolved and you can use the air conditioning. Best regards. Staff

Nice and beautiful hotel

Posted 29 Aug 2015
This hotel is in the heart of the town, is vertically decorated, the people and the services are excellent, the only issue was that sometimes can be noisy because of the noisy scooters just under the window. The breakfast was a top quality in a lovely terrace, with a proper espresso, and cappuccino, done freshly by a nice lady.

Only there for one night but a beautiful town and everyone very friendly, would recommend the town and the hotel could not fault it, would have stayed longer if had known there was so much to see and do. Location of the hotel was perfect in city centre.

Great location, reasonable price

Posted 29 Sep 2014 on Hotels
It's hard to complain about a night stay in a great location in Tarquinia for under $100. The beds and bedding were great as was the shower (small but a decent shower head). However, I do think they should be washing the tile floors of the rooms and the common areas. We were packing our suitcases for about an hour in stocking feet when we discovered that the soles of our socks were black! We had noticed what looked like very dirty stairs up to the rooms but didn't suspect that the floors in the rooms would be so dirty. Quite frankly I"m surprised by the "outstanding" rating of this hotel on hotels.com, but maybe dirty floors don't bother most people.

We thank you for the opinion expressed although we are sorry for the impression of little cleaning stairs despite the great attention reserved in daily reorganization and cleaning of all areas of the hotel. In periods of attendance of many seasonal patrons, public areas are frequently pass, so the stairs are dirty by the sand of the sea; cleaning takes place in the morning as not to disturb the audience. thanking you for spending your stay at our hotel.Best regards from all the staff
