Loud music from hotel bar until 5:30am
Posted 21 Apr 2019 on HotelsRoom is small but clean. Door lock is broken so we could not lock from inside.
They put us in a sea view Executive Room on first floor so the view is amazing. I accept the noise from the people and cars on the street as Tangier is a vibrant city. But I absolutely cannot accept the loud music playing from the hotel bar directly below our room all night long.
The loud music woke up us at 11:30pm. I called front desk at midnight and the guy said music will last until 3am and he will tell them to turn down the music. So I tried to be patient as I was on vacation and it is what it is. The music was so loud there is no way I could sleep through that. So 3am came by but there was no sign of the music stopping. Still couldn’t sleep and music finally stopped at 5:30am!
It was actually peaceful and quiet in the morning so I called front desk to see if we could delay check-out to 1pm so we could get a bit more rest. Guy on phone said ok no problem so we went back to sleep after breakfast at 9am but housekeeping knocked and opened our door at 11:30am while we were sleeping and asked if we have checked out yet. Wish they have the act together.

Close to shopping and restaurants. Arrived early, and were shown to our room immediately.

No balcony, no air conditioning
Posted 26 Jun 2018 on HotelsYou claimed our room had a balcony. Not true. You claimed our room had air condition, but we never got a remote control, so we had to open the windows to survive, and got bitten by mosquitoes. No fun.

Lost in translation?
Posted 4 Jun 2018 on HotelsThis hotel has a lot going for it - nice location, beautiful inner courtyard, and pretty quiet. That said, there seems to be an issue with the room descriptions and what is actually available. On a trip through Spain with my father, I specially booked a triple room - one described as having a “1 Double Bed and 1 Twin Bed
161-sq-foot (15-sq-meter) room with a balcony”. Upon arrival, I was told I booked a room with a double bed and a child bed (the front desk showed me the booking they received and it appeared to confirm that - despite what my confirmation said). We were given a room wth just a double bed - staff then moved us to a room with a queen bed and a rollaway bed for the first night and a room with two twin beds the second night. I never saw the larger room that I had booked. There were a few other minor annoyances that I generally would have overlooked without the room issue - but overall added to the general dislike of my stay at this hotel.

Great boutique hotel in old Tarifa
Posted 17 Apr 2018 on HotelsVery comfortable room, great location just inside walls of old city. Rooftop patio with great views of the city and at night the lights of Morocco. Great staff with enough English to help us with arrangements to Tangier, and to catch a bus to Seville.

Basic accommodations with great staff
Posted 23 Feb 2018 on HotelsExtremely friendly and helpful staff and a cute room. Breakfast (whole fruit and pastry) was convenient but basic. Unfortunately, the internet is weak, the bathroom sink is extremely small, the shower stall leaks onto the bathroom floor and the room was cold (it was February). Staff provided us with a heater and the room was comfortable the second night.

Beautiful little place in a beautiful city
Posted 29 Sep 2017 on HotelsWe unexpectedly got stuck in Tarifa after missing the bus to Sevilla, and quickly scrambled to find a place to stay the night. We're so glad we did because Tarifa is beautiful, and this place was great. The room was small, and all they had left was one with two twin beds, but everything was very clean, modern and comfortable. The whole place is decorated really nicely, and they have a great rooftop terrace from which we could see the lights from Tangier. Carlos, who checked us in was so kind, and offered us tea/coffee/water, and a seat in the lounge upon our arrival, as well as a map with some suggestions for tapas bars and things to see. We would gladly stay here again!
