The check in process was horrible , because the stuff in the hotel did not receive the confirmation email . So I called orbitz two time every time I had to wait for a long time . First the girl who get my called didn’t even bother to underw to the problem and she said she will call me back but never did . The hotel stuff offer to give me a room regardless but I decide to call second time that when “Sulimane”answer and he was very hopeful. Even called after to check if everything went well.

nice hotel but no one speaks english

Pros: cleaniness, location
Cons: Staff should be able to speak English for the English guests.
Location: location was clean and not far from the main shopping centre but there was nothing to do.
No one understood what an English cup was. Even after explaining and showing pictures of how an English cup of tea is served, staff still didn't get it.
Staff are generally not very friendly and inviting.

Lame service, but ok rooms
Posted 30 Dec 2013 on HotelsStaff were very unhelpful, made simple requests that were ignored. You'll need to speak French or Arabic to be understood (and assisted). Building itself is ok, but don't expect the kind of hotel service you'd get in any other 4-star hotel in Europe or the US.

Nice building, lousy service
Posted 30 Dec 2013 on HotelsThe suite itself was quite nice, but the staff's service was really REALLY bad. Room service showed up with plates in hand, covered with tinfoil, and zero condiments (like a relative sending you home with leftovers). When we asked for napkins we were given a box of facial tissues. When we asked for salt and ketchup they said ok and then never showed. At checkout we were told that housekeeping reported that we took ONE towel (didn't, but paid anyway just to get out of there). If you don't speak Arabic or French consider yourself on your own and will have to fend for yourself for everything,

Worked for me

Pros: Beach location, food, peace, comfort, ability to smoke in the room.
Cons: Service, especially for the foreign traveler. The desk staff was ignorant. The other staff were poorly trained and sometimes disrespectful.
Location: The location a definite disadvantage. A mile to the city center. Over two miles to the medina. Taxi drivers aren't honest and don't speak any English
I was visiting Tangiers to get some writing done. I wanted peace, comfort (including air conditioning), good facilities, and adequate food. I also wanted to smoke in my room. On the basis of the reviews I had read when deciding on a hotel in Tangiers, I had not expected good service. My expectations were met. The desk staff were very poorly informed and sometimes rude and unhelpful. The dining staff was pleasant enough but not well disciplined. The food was good. Because of its location away from the city center (though on the beach) and also perhaps its reviews, there were few tourists. Most of the guests were Moroccans and those who were not were primarily businesspeople with cell phones (no international calls from the room.) The decor was aggressively modern/non-traditional. No one speaks English (I managed with my reasonably fluent French).
