I apologize for your stay with us but with no comments indicated it is difficult for me to find out what the isues you encountered and will do my best to find out what room you were in . It was priced reasonably, the rooms are nice, the beds and pillows are nice..the staff was very nice from check in to check out..also there is an IHOP in the parking lot..the IHOP drinks are expensive so it’s a good thing that this property has vending machines..my fiance is a Marine that lives Tampa so I travel often and this is the hotel that I stay every time I come to Tampa..

The property was conveniently located but the room was dirty. The mini fridge rusted, hairs in the bathroom wall, shower, toilet and sink.

Please accept my apologies and this will be addressed with the staff. All rooms should be fully inspected before renting to any guest and there is no excuse why this was not done. As a hotel traveler myself I certainly understand but glad you brought this to my attention. The room smelled wet and moist, (I was going to overlook that) . I then saw a bug on the sheets and kept looking and found two more. Took pictures went to front desk…. Was told bed bugs only come out at 3:00 am. That those was cockroaches. She moved us to another room which had knats (bugs) flying in the bathroom.

As General Manager I can assure you all reviews are taken very seriously especially the poor ones and please accept my sincerest apology. If any guest complains of possible bed bugs the first thing we have to do is contact Ecolab our Pest Control Company and have the guest move to another room if they are staying. In addition, any time someone complains of bed bugs we have to pay a significant price to have it investigated but it is worth it. Ecolab has come and there were no signs of bed bugs which is good because if there was the room but be down for a few days to be treated even more. Per Ecolab bed bugs come out late at night and I know this because I have been in this industry for 38 years and have been trained. I am not saying there was not a bug in your room but it was not a bed bug. I do need to find out the other room you were in that had the knats so that can be treated. This time of year we were told to put vineger in the sink and tub drains to try to eliminate the knats but since we have been sold out the last few months it was difficult to get to every room but glad you brought this to my attention.
