Overall the hotel is good. Unfortunately, we had these experiences...room safe locked upon arrival. Had to ask about room cleaning, told yes they clean every day but our room was only clean two day of the four nights. we had to bother front desk staff late one night for towels. Found big roach (insect) in room. Showed front desk staff who replied "oh you had a visitor". Was told they would spray but didn't till next day when we were checking out and they sprayed (very smelly) with our clothes in the room. Our access cards had failed us two days of the four nights...quite annoying when you try to enter your room after a long day. We were awaken several mornings between the time of 7am-9am as roofers were on the roof repairing some hurricane damage. Signs in the elevator stated work would begin at 9am but the truth is they began much earlier. Manager informed me that workers ere only to load supplies and equipment before 9am but not work. I shared video with her showing the noise in our room for them. Manager was aware of the above issues and tried to offer compensation (one free night) but later I was told she couldn't as I booked this through Expedia.

Sofa was dirty when we pulled it out to use as a bed. Had crumbs and an article of clothing from a previous guest. Room also didn’t have pillows or blankets for the sofa bed even though we had booked reservations for 5 people which would necessitate the sofa bed.

We arrived a little early for check in a 2 pm. Check in was at 3 pm. We returned to the hotel at 3:30 pm and the room still wasn’t ready. We had to wait until after 4 before we could check in.

The staff was nice and kind. The room smelled like mildew and mold. But it was booked fulled and room couldnt be changed.

Unfortunately, our roof was damaged during the hurricane and water got into some of the rooms. We've been working diligently to resolve this and will be getting a complete roof replacement in the next few weeks.
