This Econo Lodge is a disgrace. The front desk staff was rude and made themselves unavailable. They did not pick up the phone or answer requests promptly. Our room was dirty - the AC was broken and our sheets were not clean. We needed to request NEW sheets for the bed. An uncomfortable experience overall. You would think with this type of rating multiple times, you would see a change in hotel management. I wish I never spent the money.

Filthy, mold, feces, cigarette burns on the floor and bedding. The celling was falling off the smell of human waste was the worse. We walked in and out. I still don't know how could this place be up to code. It should be close down. It gets better when I requested a refund because will not going to stay in such a filthy place. The front desk clerk said ok no problem. About a week later I received a email from the horror hotel stating I was not receiving a refund because they have strict policies concerning cancelations, I had to laugh. I contacted my credit card company and when they saw the pictures of the room I received a permanent credit. Please stay away from this unhealthy, disgusting horror hotel.

Terrible hotel, awful area. Felt incredibly unsafe. Hotel was dirty and smelled of drugs. Walked in and then immediately back out.

Dirty and run down; avoid if anyhow possible
Posted 24 Apr 2023 on HotelsI rarely comment and even rarer leave a negative comment. I had chosen this hotel as it was close to Bush Gardens knowing it was a simple hotel but hoping it was clean. But what I found was rundown dirty hotel and an unacceptable room. The door had marks from breaking in, paint was pealing from walls, particularly in the bathroom, the carpet had a musty smell, there was white power under the AC, the windows had probably not been cleaned since months, the dresser was in a state of disrepair with falling front plates, microwave and fridge were dented and probably not been cleaned in a long time, the curtain had stains etc. The only good thing I could say about this place was that the front desk clerk was friendly. Mold in the shower. Disgusting carpets, walls filthy, bed dress dirty and used, a nasty stay specially when you check it late and there is no way to cancel.

The staff was very friendly and the room was as clean as they could get something that run down. The room was dark with dark bedspreads and minimal lighting. The lampshade was literally hanging on by a thread. The shower was water scale marked and rust stained but appeared to be clean beyond that. The bed should have been thrown away years ago. One was so dented where people would sit that you'd almost roll out of bed on that side. The other bed squeaked so badly that it sounded like the rigging of a dilapidated shrimp boat. Neither was comfortable in any way at all. On the plus side, the front desk clerk was very helpful and friendly. I'd avoid this hotel until they do some serious updating - even if it's just replacing the beds. Also - a reminder to the hotel - it's obviously time to call the exterminator - when I turned the lights on at 2 in the morning, bugs went scampering in all directions. Gross.

City needs to shut this down
Posted 17 Apr 2023 on HotelsThis a run down hotel. I should have know better not to make reservations there . The room looked like a crack motel in movies . It was nightmare. Disgusting, unsanitary. Thank goodness we were able to run out of there with a refund .
